DC Ranch is made up of four residential villages: The Country Club, Desert Camp, Silverleaf and Desert Parks. Each village has an architectural scheme and character.
The Country Club and Desert Camp: DC Ranch’s original villages
The Country Club (including Columbia Community and Tapadero) and Desert Camp (including Market Street Villas, The Courtyards at Market Street, The Village at Market Street, The Villas at Desert Camp, Montelana, Camelot/Standard Pacific, Rosewood, Pioneer, and The Haciendas) are the original neighborhoods in DC Ranch.
Silverleaf: A collection of cozy enclaves
The Upper Canyon is located on Windgate Pass Drive past The Parks neighborhood in the north east quadrant of DC Ranch. It is an exclusive enclave that derives a special quality from the adjacent hillsides of the McDowell Mountains. Spanish and Mediterranean Revival Estate architectural styles provide grand estate-character architecture. Formal estate gardens are found around the homes, which are then surrounded by significant Natural Open Space desert. Many of these custom lots are situated on The Silverleaf Golf Course while others climb into the hillsides with expansive views of the Valley below.
Horseshoe Canyon is an intimate place of distinctive aura and beauty set within the majestic McDowell Mountains and named for the natural “horseshoe”-shaped canyon at the end of Horseshoe Canyon Drive. Architectural styles include only Spanish and Mediterranean Estate architecture.
Arcadia at Silverleaf, located west of Thompson Peak Parkway, just south of Copper Ridge School and bordered by the Reata Wash on the west side, features half acre-sized lots and three parks marked by Spanish Mission architecture. Lots include enclosed rear yards but no surrounding Natural Open Space desert areas, giving this neighborhood a more traditional setting with lush green tree-lined streets. The architectural styles are the most diverse in Silverleaf with Spanish styles, Western Regional Ranch and Farmhouse styles joined by Spanish Hacienda and Craftsman Styles.
The Parks, located off Thompson Peak Parkway on each side of Windgate Pass Drive (one part of The Parks is located behind Windgate gate; one is located behind Horseshoe gate), was designed to exhibit the elegant, formal character and rich street scenes found in historic neighborhoods throughout the country. The Parks features a series of interconnected neighborhoods, architecture based on authentic classical Spanish Eclectic styles, more formal landscape compositions and tree-lined streets, paved alleyways, and 11 parks. This neighborhood is situated in close proximity to Copper Ridge School and includes a pedestrian underpass for children walking or bicycling to school. Ethel’s Garden in Silverleaf is a tribute to Ethel Marley’s love of roses.
Desert Parks: The spirit of connectedness
Desert Parks includes Desert Haciendas by Maracay, The Villas by Engle, Terrace Homes-West by Monterey, Terrace Homes-East by Monterey, Park & Manor Homes by Ashton Woods, The Estates by Engle, Engle Villas and Courtyards at Desert Parks.
Located east of Pima Road and south of Legacy Boulevard, Desert Parks village is home to luxury apartments and noncustom single family and attached homes in eight neighborhoods. Each neighborhood has a park, natural wash areas and private gated access. The architectural styles for these homes include the Spanish Eclectic styles, along with Western Regional Ranch and Craftsman Bungalow. By design, the village is meant to facilitate community through the use of shade, open areas, play structures and lowdensity lighting that invites residents to come out of their homes and connect with other neighbors.
